- On ‘Energy Conservation’, winners were awarded prizes upto Rs. 50,000/-
Bhopal: NHDC Limited organized State Level Painting Competition on 09th November, 2023 at Ravindra Bhawan , Bhopal in collaboration with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India for spreading awareness of ‘energy conservation’ among the students. Competition was organized in two categories. Category “A” (for students of classes 5, 6 & 7) and Category “B” (for students of classes 8, 9 & 10). The topics for both the categories in state level painting competition were (1) LiFE-Mindful & Deliberate Utilization, Instead of Mindless & Destructive Consumption (2) One Earth, Many Efforts.
In this Prize Distribution ceremony, Shri V.K. Sinha, Managing Director, NHDC was the Chief Guest who distributed the First Prize of Rs. 50,000/-, Second Prize of Rs. 30,000/, Third Prize of Rs. 20,000/- and 10 Consolation Prizes of Rs. 7,500/- in each Category A & B. While addressing to all the present participants and their teachers, parents/guardians, Shri V.K. Sinha appreciated the efforts of parents/guardians and school management for instilling the awareness of energy conservation in children at an early age thereby preparing them as responsible citizens of country in future. He also appealed to the children to publicize and disseminate the importance of energy conservation in future.
In the first stage of competition held at school level, the schools of the state Madhya Pradesh registered themselves on the website www.paintings.beeindia.gov.in by 31st October, 2023. Out of the best paintings uploaded by the schools of the Madhya Pradesh state, 50-50 participants of each category were called to Bhopal and the winners were selected at the state level by conducting a 2-hour on the spot painting competition held at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal. All the participants were given Rs. 2,000/- participation amount.The first, second and third winners of both the categories will participate as representatives of Madhya Pradesh state in the National Painting Competition 2023 to be held at Delhi on 12th December, 2023.
NHDC Limited is a Joint Venture of NHPC Limited and Government of Madhya Pradesh, which was established in the year 2000. At present, under its two power stations, Indira Sagar (1000 MW) and Omkareshwar (520 MW), 100 percent power is being supplied to Madhya Pradesh.
