Patna , June 17 (UNI) Taking cognizance of the irregularities and question paper leak incidents in the competitive examinations, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday directed the authorities to frame a strict law to check them.
During a high level meeting attended by Deputy Chief Ministers and the higher authorities of various departments, Kumar said here that a strict law was required to check question paper leak and any other irregularities in the examinations held for the appointments.
For maintaining complete transparency in the competitive examinations, he instructed to frame a stringent law and asked the authorities to bring a related proposal in the next assembly session.
Reviewing the progress of the targets fixed for providing government jobs and employment under seven resolves part two, the Chief Minister instructed to accomplish the target and provide the rest of the jobs within a year under mission mode.
Kumar asked the authorities to prepare a work plan to achieve the target of providing 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh employments during a period of 5 years commencing from 2020 and concluding in 2025.
Under this mission, 5.16 lakh people have already got the government jobs and in addition to it the formalities for appointment of 1.99 lakh government jobs have been finished. The appointment letters would be distributed within the next 3 months.
The proposal of 2.11 lakh appointments have been sent to the concerned commissions and proposal for 2.34 lakh appointments would be sent to the commissions soon. An estimated 72,000 vacancies would be in the next year and an appointment proposal for which would be sent accordingly.
As it is 5.16 lakh appointments have been made under seven resolve part two and 1.99 lakh appointment letters have been prepared for distribution.
In addition to this, the formalities for appointment in 5,17,000 vacancies were under way against the target of providing more than 12 lakh government jobs in the year 2024-25 which is more than the target fixed under the seven resolves part two.
He said that more than 22 lakh jobs have been created under seven resolves part two and 11 lakh jobs would be further created next year.
