Patna, Nov 9 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday lost his cool over patron of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Jeetan Ram Manjhi in the Assembly and said ‘he was a man of no use and it was his foolishness to make him CM in 2013.’
Kumar lost his cool during a debate on bill relating to new reservation formula in admission in government educational institutions, when Manjhi said that all these steps being taken would not be of any use in ameliorating the condition of backwards and deprived, if no review on benefits of reservation to them was done by the state government, as was suggested by Bheem Rao Ambedkar.
The CM suddenly lost his cool over the remark of Manjhi and said the latter had no knowledge and idea, what was being done by his government for backwards and deprived.
“This man is of no use and it was my foolishness to make him Chief Minister in 2013”, Kumar said in high pitched voice while pointing towards Manjhi.
Within two months of making him Chief Minister, people had started telling that it was his mistake to make him (Manjhi) the CM, he recalled.
The Chief Minister said that he had deliberately ousted Manjhi from Grand Alliance, who later found shelter in NDA. Even family members of Manjhi were not with him, he remarked.
Kumar said that the HAM patron was always taking pride in calling himself a former Chief Minister, and it was result of his foolishness to rely on him in 2013.
Manjhi, feeling highly embarrassed, said it was wrong on part of CM Kumar to say such things.
The Chief Minister after few minutes, again lost his cool and started saying that Manjhi had ambition to become Governor. He advised BJP to make him Governor.
Kumar repeatedly said that Manjhi was made CM by him. Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhari, in his attempt to cool down Kumar, said this fact was not only known to all in Bihar but also in entire country.
