Patna, Jan 28 (UNI) Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar took the oath as the chief minister of Bihar on Sunday for a record ninth time.
Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath to them in a function organized at Rajbhawan.
Along with Nitish Kumar, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took oaths as cabinet ministers.
Besides Kumar, eight ministers also took oaths on Sunday. Other ministers who took the oath are Prem Kumar, Vijay Chaudhary, Vijendra Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Santosh Kumar, and Sumit Singh.
With this, four members, including Kumar from the JDU, three members from the BJP, one from the Hindustani Awam Morcha, and an independent MLA, took oaths at the function.
Bihar Legislative Council chairman Devesh Chandra Thakur, BJP national president J.P. Nadda, Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, HAM national president Jitan Ram Manjhi, LJP(Ramvilas) national president Chirag Paswan, JDU MP Lalan Singh, BJP leader Mangal Pandey, Rajiv Pratap Rudi, former MLC Ranvir Nandan, and several other dignitaries attended the oath-taking ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
