Moscow, Mar 2 (UNI) Following a spat between US President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, major Norwegian oil company Haltbakk Bunkers refused to provide fuel to US military personnel based in Norway, as well as to arriving American ships, the UK Defence Journal reported.
The publication said that shortly after the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy at the White House, the company posted a message on social media supporting Zelenskyy and promising to stop supplying fuel to all Americans in Norway.
“We have decided to immediately STOP as fuel provider to American forces in Norway and their ships calling Norwegian ports. No Fuel to Americans!,” the company said in a statement, as quoted by UK Defence Journal.
According to the publication, the company called the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting the “biggest shitshow ever presented live on TV.”
The Daily Express quoted the company’s CEO, Gunnar Gran, as telling a local media outlet that the company had excluded American clients because of their attitude towards Ukrainians. He also promised that the US would not receive a single litre of fuel from them until Trump stops.
At the moment, there are no such publications on Haltbakk Bunkers’ social networks. At the same time, as RIA Novosti has verified, the Google search engine has retained a link to this publication, leading to the company’s account on Facebook (banned in Russia as extremist), but when clicking on it, it says that the post may have been deleted.
Trump scolded Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday when the latter arrived to sign an agreement on the joint development of Ukrainian mineral resources. The US president demanded that Zelenskyy agree to a ceasefire and stop criticising Russian President Vladimir Putin. Vice President J.D. Vance called Zelenskyy an ungrateful agitator for the Democrats when he began to justify his actions, blame Russia and even threaten the United States that they would “feel the consequences” of the conflict, even though they are separated by an ocean. The Kiev delegation was asked to leave the White House, and no agreement was signed.
