Paris, July 31 (UNI) In an exhilarating match at the Court Philippe-Chatrier, Serbian tennis icon Novak Djokovic clinched a spot in the quarterfinals of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The top-seeded player triumphed over Germany’s Dominik Koepfer with a solid 7-5, 6-3 victory in the men’s singles third round on Wednesday.
Djokovic, an Olympic bronze medalist and 24-time Grand Slam champion, showcased his prowess and experience on the court. At 25, Tsitsipas is one of the sport’s rising stars, but he faces a formidable opponent in the 37-year-old Djokovic, who is determined to add an Olympic gold to his storied career.
