After Tirupati Balaji temple, a big controversy has arisen over the quality of laddus in the famous Devidham Salkanpur located in Sehore. The temple trust has questioned the quality of laddus made by the self-help group and called them substandard.

Temple trust president Mahesh Upadhyay has alleged that the laddus made by the women of the self-help group have a strange smell. According to the trust, many devotees have also complained about this. He said that these laddus are not only damaging the reputation of the temple, but are also playing with the faith of the devotees. The temple trust has complained to the collector and demanded the removal of the laddu shop.

The trust alleges that these laddus are being sold by putting the temple’s mono on them, which is misleading people. On the other hand, the women of the self-help group making laddus have called these allegations baseless and said that they prepare the laddus with pure ghee and complete cleanliness. Group member Rajni said, our laddus are completely pure and are made following all the parameters. This dispute has now become a matter of administrative investigation and the collector is expected to take appropriate action on the matter.

Omkareshwar’s laddus came to Bhopal for investigation Omkareshwar: Khandwa Safety Food Officer Sanjeev Mishra told in a phone conversation that on the instructions of Collector Khandwa, the District Food Officer has taken samples of laddu prasad sold from the counter in Jyotirling Omkareshwar on September 26. Laddus are prepared in Omkar Prasadalaya, from there samples of ghee and other ingredients mixed in it and other food items used in the food have also been taken. A total of 6 samples have been taken and sent to Bhopal lab for testing on 27th September.

Mishra said that the testing will take about 15 days, only after that it will be clear. It is noteworthy that after the report of adulteration of fish oil in Laddus Prasad at Tirupati Balaji, the Prasads available in religious temples across the country are being tested.

Mishra said that Laddus Prasad are being sold outside Omkareshwar as well, their samples will also be taken.
