Now two options will be available in class IX Mathematics

  • Question paper pattern and marking scheme of MP Board released, will be applicable from class 10 next year

The Board of Secondary Education has implemented the marking scheme of Basic and Standard Mathematics for class IX to XII for the session 2024-25. Which will be applicable to the examination of the students.

The same standard will also be applicable to the students of Mathematics. Only the level of difficulty of the questions will be different. For project work also, the same subjects of both Mathematics have been given, only the syllabus has been changed.

The MP Board has released a blue-print in this regard. In which it was told that in class 09, both the question papers in Mathematics will be of 75 and 25. The difficulty level of both the question papers will be different. There will be 30 objective questions in it, apart from this there will be objective questions of two marks, three marks and four marks.

When the students reach class 10 in the next session, they will have knowledge of basic and standard. They will be well acquainted with that pattern.

Marking Scheme: 09-10th

Theoretical Question Paper 75, Objective Question 01, Correct Option 06, True False 06, Correct Pair 06, Answer in One Sentence 06, 12 Questions 02 Each, 03 Questions 03 Each, 03 Questions 04 Each, Project Work 25, Quarterly Exam 05, Half-yearly Exam 05, Project Work -15 Marks

11th and 12th

Non-Practical Subjects, Theoretical Question Paper 80, Project Work 20, Practical Subjects, Theoretical Question Paper 70, Practical 30

These will be the topics of the project

1. Establish Heron’s formula to find the area of a triangle.
2. Find the total surface area and volume by measuring the length, breadth and height of the math book.
3. Explain the geometrical applications in daily life. Give a brief description of the life introduction and achievements of three mathematicians.
4. Survey the number of members of 12 families in the locality and collect data on where they received their education.

The Board of Secondary Education has implemented the question paper pattern and marking scheme for students of classes 9 to 12 from the session 24-25. That is, there has been a slight change in the exam pattern. Students will benefit from this. They can easily prepare for the exam with this scheme.
