Official Language Inspection at IGRMS

Bhopal: Dr. Narendra Singh Mehra, Deputy Director-Official Language from the Regional Implementation Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, conducted an official language inspection at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya in Bhopal. The museum’s Director, Prof. Amitabh Pandey, welcomed Dr. Mehra and emphasized the importance of using Hindi in official communications, advocating for the use of Unicode in computer work. He proposed a collaborative effort with the Regional Implementation Office to enhance the use of Hindi.

Mrs. Seema, the museum’s Hindi translator, presented an overview of the official language initiatives undertaken in 2024. Dr. Mehra advised that communication should employ simple and clear Hindi, in line with the Official Languages Act 3(3), which mandates responses in Hindi for correspondence received in the language. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri Hemant Bahadur Singh Parihar, the newly appointed Public Relations Officer, with numerous officials and employees in attendance.
