Bhopal: On Tuesday National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) commenced a magnificent celebration of the propitious festival, Onam. It is a harvest festival and marks the beginning of a new year for Keralites.
The college program welcomed authentic traditions of Onam. To begin with, the students relished upon a grand feast called, Sadhya and consisted of customary dishes like Puli Inji,Payasam etc, served on a Banana plate. The entire college got the opportunity to peep into the precious and vivid cultures of India.
Furthermore, a few engaging and interactive events enlightened the festival’s aura. Cultural activities were preceded with diya lighting by the honourable Director of NIFT Bhopal, Ashish Agarwal. Energetic dance performances had set the rhythmic mood of the day while games like tug of war and musical chairs sprinkled a sense of playfulness amongst the students.
The event ended with a cheerful note and a wave of pride within us to be a part of a culturally rich country.
