One-Day Session on “Understanding Cyber Safety and Laws”

Bhopal, A one-day session on “Understanding Cyber Safety and Laws” was organized today at Government Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls College. The keynote speaker, Dr. Yogesh Pandit, provided an in-depth discussion on the importance of cybersecurity and laws. Dr. Bharti Jain welcomed Dr. Yogesh Pandit to the program.

At the start of the event, Mr. Vivek Bhardwaj, a faculty member in Computer Science, introduced the students to Cyber Month, explaining its significance worldwide.

More than 500 students and numerous faculty members actively participated in this session. The session aimed to educate students and teachers about various aspects of cybersecurity and current cyber laws, ensuring that they can stay safe in the digital world.

In his lecture, Dr. Pandit covered types of cybercrimes, preventive measures, and information on cybersecurity laws. He emphasized the importance of securing personal information and maintaining safe behavior on digital platforms. Additionally, he provided a comprehensive overview of laws related to cybercrime.

Program coordinator Professor Seema Raizada expressed her gratitude to all participants, highlighting the crucial need for such sessions in today’s digital age, especially for young women who need awareness about staying safe online. She also stated that the college would continue organizing similar awareness programs in the future.

The college’s IT Cell organized this session, where students were also given the opportunity to ask questions, which Dr. Pandit answered in detail.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepa S. Kumar, who reiterated the importance of cybersecurity and encouraged all students to apply the insights gained from the session in their lives.
