Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
The opening of the Habibganj Naka road after 7 months and 21 days has brought a lot of convenience to the people. Actually, there is still about 3 years left for the Metro to start in Bhopal, but before that, people are facing a lot of inconvenience at the places where routes and stations are being built for the Metro. Because, these routes have been diverted or are closed due to which people have to travel long distances. DRM Office Tiraha at Habibganj Naka was also included in these. The road at this trisection was closed from Sanchi Dudh Company to about 3 kms for the last 7 months and 21 days. Due to which people were facing a lot of difficulty. It has been opened for everyone. With the opening of this road, more than 3 lakh people have got a big relief, because this route is very short for those who commute daily from Misrod.
Let us tell you, this route was closed in March due to the construction of Metro Steel Bridge. Due to this, the residents of hundreds of colonies of Awadhpuri, BDA, AIIMS, Alkapuri, Saket Nagar, and Amravatkhurd and Kolar were facing trouble. Because, if someone had to come towards ISBT, Chetak Bridge, Anna Nagar and Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, then they had to take another route. After this, traffic has been restored on this road from Thursday. Due to which lakhs of people got a lot of convenience in commuting and due to the closure of this route, the pressure on the traffic at other places has also reduced.

When the road was closed, I started setting up my Snacks cart somewhere else, but sales do not happen quickly at a new place. I have been setting up my cart here for many years. I have suffered a lot in these 7 months. No one has helped me with this.

We have a shop here, we do puncture repair and air filling. When this road was closed, I had to keep the shop closed for 7 months and 21 days continuously. Because, no vehicle passed through this road. You can imagine how much loss I would have suffered if the shop was closed for so many days.

I come from Misrod to Anna Nagar for my work every day. When this road was closed, I had to take a long detour. Now this road has become very short. This also saves petrol.
