Pakistan Turkiye joint naval exercise

Islamabad, Aug 3 (UNI) The Pakistani and Turkish navy, on Friday conducted joint naval drills in the north of Arabian Sea, media reports said.

Pakistani navy said that both the navies conducted a coordinated patrols and naval exercises following the goodwill visit to Pakistan by Turkish navy ship TCG Kinaliada, Express Tribune reports.

The statement released stated ,” The drills comprised of various naval operations including defence against asymmetric threats, visit board search and seizure and air defence exercises aimed to further hone professional skills and enhance interoperability between the two navies,”

Delegation lead by Turkish navy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdem Kocer, met with Pakistan Navy field commanders and officials to discuss mutual interest and explore opportunities for further collaboration.

The Turkish delegation paid homage to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, pakistan’s founder by laying a floral wreath at Mausoleum of Quaid-e-azam.

Both the countries enjoy historically warm and friendly relations.The visit of Turkish navy officers will further enhance the existing ties of both the nations.
