Bhopal: In the dental unit operated at Community Health Center Kolar, 634 patients were treated for various dental problems. Of these, oral prophylaxis treatment has been done for 6 patients. Sharp cup rounding has been done in 4 patients. Oral cancer screening is also being done in the dental unit. Under this, 112 people have been screened. With the commencement of this unit, the residents of Kolar area are getting a free facility of treatment of dental diseases near their residence.
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Bhopal, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari said that the facilities for quality and free treatment of various dental problems are being continuously increased. With the aim of providing dental treatment facilities to the people near them, a dental unit has also been started at the community health center level. Now, along with Community Health Center Kolar, dental units are also working in Community Health Center Gandhinagar and Berasia.
Oral cancer screening is also being done in this unit by Dr. Diwakar Mishra, a dentist posted in Kolar. All dental units are operational from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and evening OPD is operational from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There is a plan to upgrade the facilities in these dental units and make all other facilities like extraction of teeth, temporary and permanent restoration, RCT available free of cost.
