Jammu, June 18 (UNI) There is no respite from the heatwave, as the Jammu district on Tuesday recorded another hottest day at 44.3 degrees Celsius.
As per MeT, the Jammu division has witnessed the hottest days for the past one week.
Jammu’s maximum temperature was recorded at 44.3 degrees today, which was an all time high in the last three years. Moreover, Kathua was the hottest destination at 47.6 degrees.
The minimum temperature of Jammu was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius while maximum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 33.4 and minimum at 15.9 degrees.
The heat wave has gripped Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi and Poonch districts of Jammu zone.
As per the Met section, heatwave will continue for next couple of days and the temperature will remain above 44 degrees celsius.
Apart from local canals, people are also enjoying the nearby swimming pools to beat the heat.
Notably, swimming pools at private properties are trending now days and being liked by the Jammuities on the lines of Wonderland of Jalandhar in the areas like R S Pura, Bishnah, Jourian, Akhnoor and Birpur.
