- Minister Silawat inspects the venue at Lal Parade

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two medium-micro irrigation projects of Madhya Pradesh Water Resources Department, Aonwalia and Parasdoh, worth Rs 809.67 crore, through VC in the “Developed India, Developed Madhya Pradesh” program on 29 February. The main program will be held at Lal Parade Ground in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav from 4 pm.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat reached Lal Parade Ground and took stock of the arrangements of the program and gave instructions regarding the event. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources Rajesh Rajoura, Police Commissioner Shri Harinarayanchari Mishra, Collector Kaulshendra Vikram Singh and concerned officers were present.
Parsdoh Medium Irrigation Project has been built in village Prabhat Pattan of Multai tehsil of Betul district at a cost of Rs 585.21 crore. The irrigated area of the project is 19785 hectares. 12507 farmer families from 42 villages will benefit from the project. The water storage capacity of this project built on the Tapti River is 72.73 cubic meter and its maximum power consumption is 8 MW.
Aonwalia Medium Irrigation Project has been built in village Roshni of Khalwa tehsil of Khandwa district at a cost of Rs 224.46 crore. The irrigated area of the project is 6703 hectares. 3739 farmer families from 14 villages will benefit from the project. The water storage capacity of this project, built on Ghorapachhad river, a tributary of Narmada river, is 26.24 cubic meter and its maximum power consumption is 1.13 MW.
