PM Modi tried to befool people of the country : Lalan alleges

Patna, Oct 13 (UNI) JD(U) President Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Friday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had cheated people of the country as he not only misled them by giving false information about him but also failed to fulfill the promises made during the last Lok Sabha election.

Singh, while addressing a function of his party said that Modi had declared during 2014 Lok Sabha election that he was born in a family of Extremely Backward Classes (EBC).

The caste PM belonged to, was never categorised as Extremely Backward Classes in Gujarat and it was only placed in Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the year 1999, he added.

JD(U) leader said that Modi had tried to befool people of the country by claiming that he used to sell tea at platform of a Railway Station but did not disclose the railway station where he used to sell the tea, he pointed out and dared him to disclose the station where he used to sell tea during initial period of his life.

Singh said that the Prime Minister had promised to bring back black money of Indians stashed in banks abroad and deposit Rs 15 lakh each in accounts of the poor but later it was described as merely a poll gimmick by senior BJP leader Amit Shah who was later made Union Home Minister by Prime Minister in his second term.

BJP was also against the provision made for providing reservation to various categories of backwards and deprived across the country, he alleged.

JD(U) leader said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar would never join hands with BJP and it was only a propaganda spread by saffron party through media management.

BJP had insulted Kumar so much that he could not think even in dream of doing so, he alleged.
