- Protest against NEET, nursing scam: Jitu Patwari among those injured
Bhopal: NSUI workers protested in the capital Bhopal on Monday over NEET paper leak issue, nursing scam, Agniveer Yojana and other issues. During the demonstration, the police stopped the workers who were going to surround the Chief Minister’s residence. There was a scuffle between the police and the workers. During this, the policemen lathi-charged and also fired tear gas shells. Water cannon was also used.
Many leaders including PCC Chief Jeetu Patwari and NSUI State President Ashutosh Chouksey have been injured. Ashutosh Chouksey has been admitted to Siddhanta Hospital. Many workers including Patwari have also been arrested.
On Monday, during the CM House siege, the police had made strict arrangements to stop the NSUI workers on the way and heavy police force was deployed. Many leaders including PCC Chief Jitu Patwari, NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary participated in the protest against NEET and Nursing scam. During this, Link Road No. 1 of the capital Bhopal was closed.
MP Congress President Jitu Patwari said that the message given by using force, water cannons and tear gas on us today is that even after voting for BJP, the future of your children has been strangled. Our protest will continue. We will file an FIR tomorrow.
Three is scam in every exam: Singhar

Police action is condemnable: Nath
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has tweeted that NSUI, Congress workers today demonstrated in the capital Bhopal against the biggest nursing scam ever with the students of the country and the rigging in the NEET exam. The kind of brutal action the government has taken on the peaceful demonstration of Congress workers is condemnable. This is a violation of the right of the public and the opposition to protest peacefully. Every Congress worker will oppose such excesses and will continue to raise the issues of the public in this strong manner on every occasion.
Chouksey admitted to Red Cross Hospital
NSUI worker Ravi Parmar said that the police tried to stop the NSUI workers going to surround the CM House at the Red Cross Hospital intersection by putting up barricades, during which there was a scuffle between the student leaders and the police administration while crossing the barricades. Later, the police administration used force on the students and fired tear gas shells along with water cannon, lathi charge. While crossing the barricades, NSUI state president Ashutosh Chouksey was seriously injured and has been admitted to Siddhanta Red Cross Hospital.
NSUI national president Neeraj Kundan, state Congress president Jitu Patwari, leader of opposition Umang Singhar, deputy leader of opposition Hemant Katare, MLA Jaivardhan Singh, former MLA Kunal Chaudhary, state president Ashutosh Chouksey and many other leaders took part in protest.
