100-day action plan: Pakistan PM inaugurates two trains


Islamabad, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated two trains in what is being promoted as achieving the first milestone of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government’s 100-day agenda. The two new trains, Rawalpindi Express and Mianwali Rail, will further expand services offered by Pakistan Railways, a report in Pakistan daily The Express Tribune said. A statement issued by Pakistan Railways said Mianwali Rail car will be operational from Friday as the train “will depart from Kundian for Rawalpindi at 7am and depart from Rawalpindi for Kundian at 6pm daily. Rawalpindi Express which has a total capacity of 685 passengers will be operational from September 15 and it will simultaneously leave from Lahore and Rawalpindi at 8pm on a daily basis, it added. The Premier will also address a gathering of civil servants at the Prime Minister Office later today.
