Kejriwal visits siteNew Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday visited north Delhi’s Burari, where 11 members of a family including seven women were found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The Chief Minister, who was accompanied by AAP MLA from Burari, Sanjeev Jha, took stock of the situation and spoke to the local residents. The people told Mr Kejriwal about the family.
Reacting on the deaths, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari in a tweet said, “Very sad and tragic incident at Burari. 11 lives lost. Deepest condolences”.Mr Tiwari also visited Burari to take stock of the situation.
Out of 11 bodies, which included seven females and four males, 10 were found hanging while one was found lying on the floor.Police said the deceased include an old woman, her two sons, their wives, two boys aged around 16-17 years and four other women.
Rajesh Khurana, Joint CP Central Range said police is investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything. “As of now it is being suspected to be suicide case, however the fact is yet to be established,” the police official said.According to sources, all were from the same family and owned a grocery shop.
