2790 temporary Homeguard jawans to be included in regular service


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that 2790 temporary homeguard jawans rendering services during Simhastha will be included in regular service of homeguard. A decision in this regard was taken at the Cabinet. These jawans will paid a salary of Rs 20 thousand 700 per month. Rs 75 crore will be spent on them annually. CM Chouhan was addressing the Homeguard Sainik Sammelan organized at the CM House today. Home Minister Bhupendra Singh was present in the programme. Extending his best wishes to the jawans for their bright future, CM Chouhan said that they should resolve to serve the people of Madhya Pradesh better. They should contribute in building a new Madhya Pradesh with full force and dexterity. Whatever work they get, they should do it with full dexterity and justification. They should create new history with their service. The contribution of Madhya Pradesh Police in conducting Simhastha in a systematic manner has been incomparable. Homeguard sainiks have also worked selflessly in it. Director General Homeguard Mahan Bharat Sagar read out the felicitation letter during the programme. Homeguard jawans presented the Chief Minister with a felicitation letter and welcomed him by adorning him with a ‘safa’. Senior police officials including Additional Chief Secretary, Home K.K. Singh and Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla and a large number of homeguard jawans were present at the programme. I.G. Homeguard K.V. Venkateshwar Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
