3639 new cases in MP; youth succumbs in Sagar

  • Third death in Sagar in 3 days; Third Wave claims 12 lives so far in state

In Madhya Pradesh, 3639 new positive cases have been recorded from 46 districts within 24 hours. The third wave has taken 12 lives so far. For the second consecutive day, 1 youth has died in Sagar. This is the first time in the third wave that two youngsters, aged 22 years, lost their lives. A day earlier, 22-year-old girl had also died of infection in Sagar itself. Both had not received a single dose of the vaccine.
Indore has the highest number of 1169 cases reported within 24 hours. 572 patients have been found in Bhopal and 555 in Gwalior. In Jabalpur, a report of 210 people has arrived positive. MLA Rameshwar Sharma was also found positive in Bhopal . So far the number of active patients has reached 14413. The infection has spread to all the districts of the state except Panna. So far 10540 lives have been lost due to the first wave of Covid. Of the newly infected, 2622 have been fully vaccinated and 102 have been given a single dose. 13834 patients are in home isolation. The positivity rate has reached 4.57%. To overcome the pandemic, it is necessary to stay below 1.

8-month-old girl among 572 new cases in Bhopal
In Bhopal, out of 572 new patients within 24 hours, the maximum number of patients have been reported from Kolar i.e. 214. A bride who came from Nepal for tying the knot of marriage has also been detected positive. After which she has been isolated. Now the marriage is stuck. At the same time, an 8-month-old girl has also been found positive. She lives with her family in a colony located on Hoshangabad Road. Her father was also infected.

Maximum of 218 new cases reported from Kolar
Kolar is becoming the biggest hot spot region in the capital Bhopal. On Tuesday, 218 new cases were detected here in a single day. After this, 138 were found in Govindpura SDM area, 50 in Bairagarh, 61 in TT Nagar, 28 in city's SDM area, 19 in MP Nagar, 10 in Huzur and the least 5 in Berasia.
Corona's new variant Omicron has taken entry in Gwalior. Two days ago, a senior scientist of DRDE (Defence Research and Development Establishment) returned from Chandigarh. He was suffering with cold, cough and mild fever. His report arrived positive showcasing a mutant of Omicron in his genome sequencing test results done at the DRDE lab. Omicron mutants have also been found in patients of Bhopal, Indore and Chhindwara.
5 infected individuals were recorded from the passengers who were traveling from Indore airport to Dubai. Report of 3 passengers of the same family from Bhopal, 1 from Indore and Barwani each has been detected positive.

Genome sequencing will be investigated in Gwalior
The genome sequencing of the Omicron variant will be tested in the laboratory of Defense Research and Development Establishment (DRDE). After being tested in the DRDE lab, the report of the variant of corona in Gwalior will be available in 2-3 days. The director of the institute, Dr. Manmohan Parida, has written a letter to the Dean of Gajaraja Medical College (GRMC) on Tuesday evening to provide samples for the testing.

Youth died in Sagar on Tuesday
A 22-year-old youth died of corona in Sagar. He was a resident of Sant Kabir Ward, Moti Nagar.He was admitted to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. His report arrived positive after taking the sample test. According to doctors, severe pneumonia was the cause of death due to accumulation of water in his lungs. Earlier on Monday, a 22-year-old girl died of Corona.
This 22-year-old girl had cold and fever for 10 days. She kept getting treatment at home. The family members brought Bundelkhand Medical College two days ago when the condition became critical. The Covid test turned out to be positive. She died during the treatment. Doctors have stated the cause of death as Covid-Pneumonia Cardiopulmonary Arrest.
