Jerusalem, (Xinhua)

A 99-year-old Israeli woman has recovered from coronavirus and was discharged from hospital, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem said on Monday.

The patient, Susi Itzinger, and her late husband Hershel have immigrated to Israel from the U.S. about a year ago. They were both diagnosed with coronavirus in mid-April during tests conducted in their nursing home in Jerusalem. The husband's condition rapidly deteriorated and he passed away after a few days at the age of 96. His wife, however, has recovered despite other diseases she suffered from. According to Israel's Ministry of Health, 11,548 coronavirus patients have recovered so far, out of 16,492 cases.
