Action for not wearing mask, flouting social distancing norms


  •  Govt to act tough after six cases of UK strain found in Indore; Roko-Toko campaign to continue

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal-Chief Minister Chouhan has appealed to all shopkeepers to ensure social distancing, wearing masks and taking other precautions. 

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the shopkeepers should ensure social distancing at theie shops, action will be taken against those shopkeepers who are caught without masks or sell goods to customers not wearing masks. 
Along with this, a campaign should be started for Roko-Toko in general in Bhopal and Indore with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Chouhan issued these instructions in a review meeting of Corona held in Mantralaya. 

Monitoring of dists adjoining Maharashtra must
Chouhan said that the number of cases affected by Corona is increasing in districts adjoining Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Betul, Chhindwara, Ujjain and Maharashtra. The situation in the state should not be allowed to deteriorate under any circumstances. It will be mandatory for travelers coming from Maharashtra, to carry Corona negative report. 
This responsibility will be with the bus operators. Bus operators will allow passengers to enter the bus only on the basis of the report. Adequate arrangements should be made for checking at the state’s border areas. Chief Minister Chouhan has instructed that all districts along the Maharashtra border should be constantly monitored.

Focus on awareness in schools, colleges must
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the officers of Higher Education, Technical Education and School Education Department to ensure mandatory use of masks in all government and non-government educational institutions. For this, awareness campaigns should also be launched.
Social organizations should provide facilities at vaccination centers
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all necessary facilities should be ensured at the vaccination centers. Adequate arrangements for seating arrangements, sheds, drinking water, wheel-chairs and post-vaccination observations should be ensured for all persons including the elderly. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the social organizations to make arrangements for tea, water, sherbet etc. at the vaccination centers.

Guideline Cards should be given with vaccination
Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with certificates, a guideline card should also be made available to those who are being vaccinated, which should have information of the date of next vaccination, general information and necessary precautions.

Vaccination will be done at 5595 centers till March end
It was informed in the meeting that currently vaccination is being administered at 469 centers. Vaccination will start at 1808 centers from March 11 and by the end of this month, the vaccination facility will be expanded to 5595 centers. 
So far, 3 lakh 66 thousand 528 health care workers and 3 lakh 2 thousand 165 front line workers have been given the first dose of vaccine. One lakh 3 thousand 911 persons belonging to the 60 above priority age group have also been vaccinated.

UK strain of Corona is affecting Indore
Chouhan said that 6 patients affected by the London strain of Corona have been found in Indore. The infection of the London variant is more lethal. Its infectious capacity is comparatively higher. On an average, 151 cases have increased daily in the last one week in Indore. 
Similarly, on an average daily 78 cases have increased in Bhopal, 16 in Jabalpur, 13 in Betul and 11 each in Chhindwara and Ujjain. The number of cases in Indore has doubled in the last 15 days. 
In view of this serious situation, strict precaution against the virus is must in Indore and Bhopal.
