Air Chief wraps up two-day visit to East Air Command


Shillong, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria on Thursday wrapped his two-day visit to Eastern Air Command headquarters after reviewing the progress on various operational tasks of Eastern Air Command headquarters.The Air Chief arrived on Wednesday and chaired the annual Commanders' Conference. On his arrival, he was received by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal R D Mathur, and Shipra Mathur, President AFWWA (Regional).In his address, the Chief of Air Staff congratulated the Eastern Air Command for completion of 60 years of glorious service to the nation.He also highlighted the operational importance of Eastern Air Command and emphasised upon the need to concentrate on operational training and operational readiness tailored towards a quick and effective response to a rapidly changing threat scenario

Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria awarded trophies to the Commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of Operations, Maintenance and Administration. Air Force Station Tezpur was awarded the trophy of 'Best Flying Station - Pride of EAC' and Air Force Station Laitkor Peak was declared the 'Best Non-Flying Station'.During the conference, Asha Bhadauria, president AFWWA reviewed various welfare activities undertaken for the welfare of Sanginis and their families in Eastern Air Command. Ms Bhadauria also interacted with the Sanginis and wives of Defence Service Corps personnel during a specially organised meeting.
