An ever-smiling talent : B-Town mourns Wajid’s death


Mumbai, (UNI) Bollywood celebrities on Monday condoled the death of noted music director Wajid Khan of the famed duo of 'Sajid-Wajid'.
Wajid, who was 42, passed away in a Mumbai hospital after tested Covid-19 positive. 

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the fraternity from the industry condoled Wajid’s death and said he was an ever-smiling talented man.
Amitabh Bachchan said, "Shocked at the passing of Wajid Khan .. a bright smiling talent passes away .. duas, prayers and in condolence." 

Akshay Kumar said, "Shocked and saddened to hear about the untimely demise of #WajidKhan, talented and ever-smiling...gone too soon. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time”. 

Priyanka Chopra said, "Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai's laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace, my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers.” 

Karan Johar said, "#RIPWajidKhan your music will always live on...deepest condolences to the family and loved ones ....gone too soon”. 

Anupam Kher said, "Deeply shocked & saddened by the untimely demise of greatly talented #WajidKhan of the #SajidWajid team. I had met him a few occasions. He was very humble, courteous and always smiling. May God give his family the courage to deal with this loss. Will pray to almighty.” 

Parineeti Chopra said, "Wajid Bhai you were the nicest, nicest nicest man! Always smiling. Always singing. All heart. Every music session with him was memorable. You will truly be missed wajid bhai.”

Wajid along with brother Sajid made their debut as music directors with Salman Khan’s ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’. He also crooned songs like ‘Soni De Nakhre’, ‘Jalwa’, ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ and ‘Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita’.
