Big rush at vaccination centres in city

  •  Vaccination of more than 1 crore done in the age group of 18 to 44 years so far

Bhopal: There was big rush of people for vaccination at all the vaccination centres in the city. In the state so far 08 lakh 57 thousand 320 health care workers, 8 lakh 90 thousand 246 frontline workers, 50 lakh 66 thousand 690 persons in the age group above 60 years, 68 lakh 96 thousand 963 persons in the age group of 45 to 60 years and 1 crore 14 lakh 74 thousand 334 persons of age group 18-44 years have been vaccinated. CM has given instructions to take effective measures to control vaccination wastage in Gwalior district and to pay special attention to training for the same. A phased plan of vaccination by December 2021 was also presented.
In view of the possibility of third wave, information was given about increasing the number of beds in hospitals, oxygen management, equipment and medicines, human resources and training and treatment arrangements. 11 thousand 185 beds are available in the state and 3063 new oxygen beds are being established. In addition, 750 oxygen beds are being increased by the Medical Education Department.
186 PSA plants are being set up for Oxygen. Of these, 34 have started functioning. Remaining plants will be commissioned by 30th September. This will provide a capacity of 229 metric tonnes of oxygen. Along with this, the work of oxygen plants is going on at the Medical Education Department and at the district level also, which will be completed by 30 September.
In May 2021, 01 thousand 20 staff nurses have been appointed in the state. In addition, 148 radiographers, 248 lab technicians have also been appointed. There are 7,523 medical officers, 15 thousand 999 staff nurses, 26 thousand 301 AYUSH medical officers and 34 thousand 439 field workers, 51 thousand 684 ASHA and 14 thousand 217 ANMs in the state. Covid related training has been provided to them.
There are only 12 confirmed cases of corona and 202 active cases in the state. Madhya Pradesh is ranked 32nd at the national level. The recovery rate of the state is 98.6 percent, while the national rate is 97.3 percent. Presentation was given in the meeting of the situation and trends of infection in America, England including Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Assam. It was informed that the possibility of a third wave is being expressed in September-October.
