Center defaming Punjab govt: Khagre

New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge shared a video showing BJP supporters coming close to the convoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab and accused the Center of trying to defame the state government.
"Modiji, isn't this proof that you tried to defame the people of Punjab and Congress CM Charanjit Singh Channi's government?" Kharge asked in a tweet. "The only threat to the PM and the nation’s security are BJP workers."
The video showed a group of people holding Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) flags and shouting slogans hailing Modi and the BJP standing close to the vehicles which were a part of the PM's convoy. Modi's security guards can be seen in the video as the groups continued to cheer.
Modi could not attend a rally in Ferozepur in Punjab on Wednesday after his cavalcade got stuck on a flyover for around 20 minutes due to a roadblock by protesters.
