Students feted; Governor attends programme

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that ups and downs come in everyone's life. It is important to keep working with constant devotion and dedication while maintaining self-confidence in adverse circumstances. The significance of life is in working with a sense of duty towards one's responsibilities even in moments of success and joy. Giving his own example, he said that in the midst of many difficulties in life, working with this spirit, he has reached this stage.
Governor Shri Patel was addressing the Conquest-2022 of Oriental Institute. In the ceremony, he felicitated the students of the institute who got selected in various prestigious enterprises.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that it is always his endeavour that he should contribute his best in the welfare of the most backward deprived sections of the society. Work for them with maximum effort as you can. With this spirit, as the Governor of the state, he is making continuous efforts to solve the problems of the deprived sections and the inaccessible areas. He appreciated the educational activities of the institute and the arrangements for organising the Conquest celebrations. 
The Governor said that it is necessary to understand the social, spirituality inherent in the concept of the dance drama, Ganesh Vandana, Namami Devi Narmade and the short film screened during the programme. The result of Ganesh Ji's service, dedication, and determination towards his mother is that even today auspicious works begin by offering worship to him. Rivers and trees are the basis of life, from which we get drinking water and vitality. Clean environment, cleanliness of rivers, conservation and plantation are necessary for a happy life. He told that on one hand there are tales of struggle among brothers for royalty and property. On the other hand Sardar Patel did an unprecedented work of convincing rulers of more than five and a half hundred princely states of the country to give up their kingdoms.
The Governor was welcomed by Oriental Institute Chairman Shri Praveen Thakral by presenting a sapling as a symbol of clean environment and nature conservation and memento as a token of gratitude. The welcome address at the ceremony was given by Tushar Kataria, General Secretary, Student Activities Committee and Diva Khan, a Master of Ceremony student. The programme was conducted by student Om Garg and girl student Anshika Gupta.
