Former Hazur Assembly in Bhopal MLA Jitendra Daga’s has tested Corona positive. Daga is among 25 new Corona positives found in Bhopal on Sunday. Another junior doctor of Gandhi medical College (GMC) is among the new positives. He is the third junior doctor to test positive in a space of two days. Thirteen new positives have been found in Jehangirabad, which is city’s biggest Corona hotspot. Food was being cooked in Daga’s kitchen and was being distributed among thousands of people in different areas of Bhopal. Daga had also met Digvijaya Singh some time ago.
The Health Department team reached the house of the former MLA Daga and he is being hospitalized. The health department team is also testing people working in Daha’s kitchen. Daga’s wife and son have also given their samples. According to the information, former MLA Daga also met Digvijaya Singh recently. With the help of Singh, the kitchen was being run, at the moment the kitchen has been closed. The Health Department team has prepared to seal the entire area. Police has also been deployed here.
AIIMS Bhopal performs successful life-saving surgery on COVID-19 patient
The first case of major life-saving emergency surgery on a COVID-19 positive patient in the region was carried out at AIIMS, Bhopal on Friday late night. “A landmark in the holistic clinical care of COVID-19 patients has been achieved at AIIMS, Bhopal. We are pleased to report that the first case of major life-saving emergency surgery on a COVID positive patient in the region was carried out at AIIMS, Bhopal late last night,” read a statement from AIIMS, Bhopal on Saturday. “The patient, a lady aged 61 years with diabetes and hypertension was admitted to the COVID ICU of AIIMS, Bhopal on April 28 with fever and COVID pneumonia. She also had pain in abdomen for which a CT scan was done, and she was diagnosed to have Superior Mesenteric Artery Thrombosis (clotting of blood in a major blood vessel or an artery that supplies blood to the intestines and other vital organs),” the statement read.
78 new positives in Indore, two die
The corona infection in Indore is changing every day. Despite the large number of samples examined, the number of infected patients was relatively low. Due to this the police administration and the public had started hoping that the corona was probably being controlled in the city. But the report, which came late on Saturday, dispelled this notion. 78 new positive patients were found late on Saturday. Together, the number of positive patients has spiked to 1858. After confirming the deaths of 2 patients, the death toll has risen to 89. 1106 samples arrived at the lab on Saturday. Out of these, 150 patients returned home on Saturday. In this way, the number of patients recovering has been 891, while 878 patients are being treated in hospitals.
