Delhi govt will not extend lockdown : Satyendar Jain

New Delhi, (UNI)

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday refuted speculations that stricter lockdown will reinforced in the National Capital as Covid-19 infections and related deaths soar.

The Minister made this observation while answering queries about discussions to reimpose stricter lockdown.

On the row over data related Corona deaths, as claimed by leaders of the BJP governed Municipal Corporations yesterday that 2,098 Corona patients died in Delhi, the Health Minister said, "Why don't they send all these details to us? They should give us the names, age and reports of the dead. We need all the details.”

Delhi has reported its highest spike in covid cases on Thursday with 1,877 new cases, taking the total to over 34,000.

The number of active cases in the capital is 20,871.
