Diagnostic kits export banned completely

The government has completely banned the export of test kits and related diagnostic equipment used in laboratories in the wake of the Corona epidemic.

The Union Commerce and Industry Ministry said on Sunday that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued a notification to this effect late last night.  Under this, the export of any kind of diagnostic kits used in laboratories and equipment used in diagnostics has been completely stopped. Sources said that the government has taken this decision on the recommendation of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

This decision of the government will help in increasing the availability of test kits and diagnosis related equipment in combating the Corona pandemic.
Sources said that the government is making every effort to maintain the availability of dress-PPE kits and other accessories of medical equipment doctors and health workers in the market.

They claimed that there is no dearth of medical devices such as masks, sanitizers, gloves and ventilators to deal with the deadly virus.
