Five weapons helping Delhi fight Corona : Kejriwal

New Delhi, (UNI)

The Delhi government is adopting a five-pronged approach to fight the deadly Covid-19 virus, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday.

Addressing a digital press conference here, Mr Kejriwal said that increased number of beds in hospitals, large scale testing and isolation, Oximeters and oxygen concentrators, plasma therapy, survey and screening are the five weapons of Delhi government in the war against the pandemic.

Number of beds were increased rapidly with 40 per cent beds in every hospital are being reserved for corona patients.

'More and more people were tested. Most tests in the country are being held in Delhi right now,' he said.

'It was very important to take care of the oxygen level of the patients in this pandemic. Every corona patient in

Delhi was given an oximeter to check its oxygen level,' Mr Kejriwal said.

He said the Delhi government used plasma therapy on serious COVID-19 patients. Many precious lives

were saved by this therapy, Mr Kejriwal said.

The Chief Minister said door-to-door survey and screening is being by the Delhi government, and it will continue.
