Bhopal, (UNI) Now the rural populace can enjoy ownership of plots and villagers will receive records of their rights pending survey of Madhya Pradesh’s non-urban settlements.
It was officially learnt on Thursday that property registers shall also be prepared at panchayat level from a database prepared under the scheme. The Gramin Aabadi Sarvekshan Yojana will witness execution by the Survey of India through the Panchayat and Rural Development plus Revenue departments.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that the programme be implemented effectively.
The action is proposed to commence in the first week of June at some villages of Harda and Dindori districts. In this regard, guidelines have been issued to collectors. Ten pilot districts have been selected in the maiden year and the remainder would be tackled in the second and third. In the initial phase; 10,553 revenue villages have been included from Morena, Sheopur, Sagar, Shahdol, Khargone, Vidisha, Bhopal, Sehore, Harda and Dindori.
