Haryana CM assured full support in facilitating transport of oxygen trucks: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) Chief Minister ML Khattar has assured full support in facilitating the transport of oxygen trucks from Haryana, said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday amid reports of the severe shortage of oxygen in the national capital.

"I spoke to Hon’ble CM of Haryana Sh Manohar Lal Khattar ji. Sought his support in facilitating the transport of oxygen trucks from Haryana to Delhi. He has assured full support," the Delhi CM tweeted.

Delhi is currently reeling under a severe Oxygen shortage crisis due to the exponential rise in COVID cases from the past few days.

Earlier in the day also, Mr Kejriwal, responding to a tweet of Apollo Hospitals Joint Managing Director Dr Sangita Reddy, wherein she demanded immediate intervention as she alleged that Haryana police is stopping not letting the oxygen out of Haryana, urged the Centre and Haryana Government to facilitate smooth passage to oxygen vehicles.

"An oxygen tanker is outside the gate of Air Liquide Panipat plant at IOCL and he is not being allowed inside

Haryana police are stopping it & not letting the oxygen out of Haryana. Need urgent intervention!!", Ms Reddy had tweeted.

The Centre on Wednesday has increased the national capital's quota of oxygen from 378 metric tonnes to 480 metric tonnes.
