Shimla, Indian National Congress on Wednesday staged walkout from the Himachal Pradesh Assembly protesting against the ruling of chair for not allowing them to raise the issue of COVID -19.As the House assembled for the question hour, leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri sought the ruling on the party notice to discuss the issue of Cornonavirus suspending the question hour.He said that they should allowed to raise the issue since a panic prevailed among the people after hospitalisation of some patient.Speaker Vipin Singh said that he have also received an information about the Coronavirus from Chief Minister Office.The Opposition member created ruckus in the House when Speaker allowed the Chief Minister to give statement on the issue without allowing them to raise this issue under the rule 67.
The Indian National Congress protesting against the ruling of chair staged walkout alleging that they should be allowed first to raise their issue before the CM makes any statement on the issue.Blaming opposition members to create panic in the mind of people Chief Minister said that no case ofCoronavirus detected in the state.He said that currently 15 suspects who have history of travelling to COVID-19 affected countries or foreigners traveling to India were under surveillance and kept in isolation wards.
The Chief Minister said that three suspect including two in Dr Rajinder Prassad Medical College Tanda and one in Indra Gandhi Medical College and Hospital Shimla were admitted in the isolation wards on Tuesday as two of them belonged to Kangra district have history of visiting Italy and other to Bilaspur, visited North Korea.'After collecting samples of suspects Health Authority would sent them to National Communicable Diseases Centre(NCDC) lab New Delhi for detection of Corona Virus.'The CM stated that so far 30 foreigner including 26 of China and four of Thailand have kept under surveillance for fever, influenza and respiratory problems and all were found negative for the deadly virus.A list of 145 people having history of traveling to affected countries till Feb 2, 2020 was received from the Union Government.
