Listening to songs featuring Reena Roy, Rati Agnihotri, Bindiya Goswami, Smita Patil, NeetuSingh and actress Rakhee takes one back in time to some of the finest moments in Indiancinema. Several Indian actors also enriched Indian cinema with their style of acting.

Amitabh,Shashi Kapoor and Sanjeev Kumar put up scintillating performances on the silver screen on several occasions. Sanjeev Kumar's excellent comic timing entertained audiences in films such as Seeta Aur Geeta, Biwi O Biwi (1981), Pati Patni Aur Woh, Angoor (1982) and Hero (1983).

Later on,in 1988, Juhi Chawla made an impressive debut in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which became a big commercial success.Juhi Chawla changed the way Indians viewed Indian cinema. Her success on the silver screen made way for a number of romantic musical movies to become successful.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Sajan, Mohabbatein, Dil to Pagal Hai were some of the movies that captured the imagination and attention of the movie lovers.Indian cinema was fortunate to have Amol Palekar as an actor. His performances in several films received praise and recognition for sublime and exquisite acting skills. Another Indian actress that comes to mind is Shabana Azmi.She won five National awards for her fine performances on the Indian screen..

Many of the songs featuring Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna,Shabana Azmi and Vinod Mehra were very pleasing to watch and to hear. A description of Indian films would be inadequate without mentioning the name of Lata Mangeshkar whose melodious voice struck a chord with a large number of Indians.
