Jet plane can land on 8 airstrips in state

Many cities of Madhya Pradesh can get big gifts soon. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan indicated this in a meeting with the officers of the Aviation Department.
The Chief Minister has asked the officers to leave no stone unturned for the expansion and development of airstrips in the state. There should be such airstrips where jet planes can also land. It is being told that soon airstrips can be made in many cities of the state. In the meeting, the CM said that there are 8 airstrips in the state, where jet planes can land. There should be no shortage in their arrangements. The work of the airstrips, whose length is to be increased, should be done expeditiously. Necessary amount should be arranged for this. In this regard, the officers should prepare a proposal and present it as soon as possible so that further process can be started.
 What is CM Shivraj's plan?
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's plan is to connect all the districts of the state with air service, he is also working continuously in this regard. On 20 August 2021, he had said that to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of connecting small towns with air facilities, an airstrip would be built in every district of the state. Necessary arrangements will also be made to connect the districts with flight. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has met Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia several times for the expansion of air services in the state. At the same time, the state has also got its benefit as soon as Scindia became the Aviation Minister. The number of flights has increased from Jabalpur, Indore and Bhopal. At the same time, Gwalior has also been connected with other cities of the country. In such a situation, it is believed that work can start soon on this plan of CM Shivraj.
 Preparation for expansion of airstrips
There are total 33 airstrips in Madhya Pradesh. Of these, 17 airstrips are ready to be developed in a better way. In which Ujjain, Umaria, Pachmarhi are included. Apart from this, there is a plan to build an airstrip in all the districts of the state, from where domestic flights can be started in future. In the meeting, CM Shivraj said that the process of making airstrips in some cities of the state will also be started soon. However, it has not been revealed that which city will get this facility.
