Kerala Guv greets people on 'Mannam Jayanti'


Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 2 (UNI) Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Sunday greeted people on the occasion of 'Mannam Jayanti.' 
In a message, the Governor said “Pranams to Late Shri Mannathu Padmanabhan, a social reformer of Kerala, on his Jayanti.

His contribution to people’s fight for social equality and his ability to unite people for social causes will always be remembered."

Meanwhile, the 145th Mannam Jayanthi of its founding leader Mannathu Padmanabhan is being observed by Nair Service Society (NSS) in the state today.

In view of the Covid pandemic, the celebration was confined to floral offerings in front of the Mannam Samadhi Mandapam at the NSS headquarters at Perunna in Changanasserry.

Inaugurating the function, NSS General Secretary G. Sukumaran Nair called upon the people to stick to the ideals of Mannathu Padmanabhan, who worked for the society and social advancement and welfare of his own community.
