The Madhya Pradesh Government on Tuesday approved Rs 59.89 crore for digitisation of land records under the Centre’s Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme, it was officially learnt.
The Cabinet’s second virtual meeting was conducted under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s chairmanship.
In addition to Rs 25.80 cr available for digitisation, a maximum component of Rs 15 cr will be utilised from the available fund in the Public Service Management Department’s e-district project for additional expenditure of Rs 34.09 cr.
Interest obtained from the state’s approximately Rs 8 cr share in the Land Records Management Committee’s account shall be used under DILRMP. Likewise, returns received on New Delhi’s share of about Rs 11.09 cr will be channelised subsequent to central ratification failing which the state dispensation shall make budgetary provisions of Rs 5 cr in 2022-23 and Rs 5.50 cr in 2023-24.
