No general promotion for any year, exams to be held

A meeting was held on Monday at Raj Bhavan in connection with the examination dates for undergraduate, postgraduate classes and other courses under the chairmanship of Governor Lal G. Tandon. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was present in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that final year / semester examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate classes and courses of higher education will be held between 29 June and 31 July 2020.

This system will also be applicable to all private universities / colleges. Regular examinations of first, second year classes / courses of higher education will be held when the things return to normal. The final year / semester examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate classes and courses will be held at the examination centres in offline mode. In this, social distance precautions will be fully followed at the examination centers.

The admission of first year students of postgraduate and first/second year students of undergraduate will be given in the new class from September 1, 2020. The session for freshers (new admissions) will commence from October 1, 2020. The session for 2nd and 3rd year students will start from September. The final year / semester examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate classes of Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology will be conducted between 16 and 30 June 2020. Examination of final year classes / courses will be done through traditional system.

Their results will be declared by July 15, 2020. In case the circumstances are not normal, the examinations will be conducted in online mode. The total duration of the online examination will be two hours. The question paper will be multiple choice types. All examinations will be done in three shifts daily. The examinations of the students of first, second and third year classes / semesters will be conducted by the university through the offline pen-paper mode between July 2 and July 31, 2020.

The exam results will be declared by August 25, 2020. If a candidate is not able to appear for the examination due to unavoidable reasons, then a special examination will be conducted for such students separately. Principal Secretary Higher Education Mr. Anupam Rajan, Principal Secretary Technical Education Mrs. Karlin Khongwar, Governor’s Secretary Mr. Manohar Dubey were also present in the meeting.
