No monetary crunch shall impede development : MP CM

Bhopal, (UNI)

Reiterating that there will be no paucity whatsoever of development funds, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Sunday that schemes put on the backburner by the predecessor dispensation shall be reintroduced in public interest.

Official sources said that the senior politician either dedicated to the public or performed bhoomi pujan for 179 construction and other development projects worth Rs 134.29 crore in Datia District’s Bhander.

The programme on the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises was attended by local parliamentarian Sandhya Ray; Rajya Sabha Member Jyotiraditya Scindia; Home, Jail and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra; Women and Child Development Minister Imarti Devi and Cooperatives Minister Arvind Singh Bhadoria.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chouhan averred, “Welfare work lying incomplete in the area shall be finished on priority basis. Schemes that were launched during my previous tenure for the indigent, the cultivators, pupils and senior citizens – but discontinued for 15 months in between – will be resumed in the proletariat’s interest. In fact, a case in point is revival of the Sambal Yojana.”
