Oath taking ceremony held on Nurses Day at RNTU

In the Institute of Nursing Department of Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony were organized on International Nurses Day. Dr Ashok Vashne, President, Arogya Bharti Bhopal and special guest Smt. Smita Johnson, Nursing Superintendent BMHRC were present in the program. 
While addressing the program, Dr. Ashok Vashne ji while congratulating the students said that nursing is a profession of service, it is also very important to have physical and mental dedication in it. Congratulating the students, the special guest Smt. Smita Johnson said that now with full dedication and hard work, be ready to render your services not only in the hospital but everywhere. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Brahm Prakash Pethia congratulated all the students for taking oath.
At the beginning of the program, Dr CP Mishra, Dean, Nursing and Paramedical Department delivered the welcome address and felicitated the guests. After this, Dr. Manisha Gupta gave information on the purpose, importance of the swearing-in ceremony of International Nurses Day. He told that International Nurses Day is celebrated every year mainly in the memory of Florence Nightingale. This day marks the contribution of nurses towards the society. This day is very important and valuable for nursing students. Only after taking the oath, the nursing students work in the hospital to provide their services.
The program started with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. At the end of the program, nursing students were rewarded for their distinguished academic achievements. A large number of students including all the deans, heads of departments and teachers of Rabindranath Tagore University were present in the program.
