PM, ministers greet people on Maha Navami


New Delhi Oct 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of his cabinet along with other leaders extended their greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami on Thursday. 

“Maa Siddhidatri is worshiped on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami in Navratri. I wish that with his blessings everyone should attain their accomplishment...,” Modi tweeted along with a video of a prayer song (stuti).

The ninth day of Durga Puja is the celebration of victory of good over evil, a day ahead of Vijaya Dashami.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have also greeted the people on the occasion.

“Warm wishes to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami. May you be blessed with happiness, prosperity and good health, this is my mother's wish,” tweeted the Defence Minister.

BJP President J.P. Nadda tweeted, “Hearty greetings to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami. Worshiping Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Durga, fulfills all the wishes. May the Goddess keep her blessings on everyone.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also greeted the countrymen on Navratri. “Happy Mahanavami to all the countrymen. Mother bless everyone,” she tweeted.
