Red Cross asks COVID recovered patients to donate plasma to save lives

In a commendable initiative, Madhya Pradesh Red Cross Society will begin home-facility donation of plasma from COVID19 recovered patients. For this an antibody test will also be done of the patients. Madhya Pradesh branch of Indian Red Cross Society urged people recovered from COVID-19 to donate plasma and save life. For this the donor needs to register their contact number and address with the organisation. After which a team will visit dedicated house to conduct antibody test. Notably, this facility will be accommodated for free and the society is doing it so that the transmission of the virus can be obstructed. Chairman for Red Cross Society Madhya Pradesh Ashutosh Purohit said that the antibody test for the COVID patients will be conducted by a team of blood bank. Also the plasma donor will be conferred with a certificate of ‘Corona Warrior’.

The General Secretary for Red Cross Society, Dr Prarthna Joshi said that for having free antibody test people can reach them with helpline number 07552550346. The number will be open for patients from 9 am to 6 am. He assured all COVID-19 SOPs will be followed during the test.
