New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) Rekha M. Menon is the new chairperson of NASSCOM.
The Accenture India chairperson is the first woman in NASSCOM's 30-year history to take this position.
Menon, who was appointed on Thursday, succeeds UB Pravin Rao of Infosys.
"Honured to be elected as the new Chairperson of @nasscom. As we cautiously navigate the pandemic, I look forward to working with the NASSCOM Executive Council and its members to drive our industry’s long term growth," said Menon in a tweet.
The apex IT organisation also announced the appointment of Krishnan Ramanujam, head of Business & Technology services, Tata Consultancy Services as their vice chairperson for 2021-22.
In a statement, NASSCOM said, "We are delighted to welcome Ms. @rekha_m_menon & Mr. @kramanuj as the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the #NASSCOM Executive Council 2021-23.
