Sarang lays foundation of Aishbagh ROB


  • ROB will be ready in 18 months at cost of 17 crores

Bhopal: Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Aishbagh Railway Over Bridge, which is going to be constructed at a cost of more than 17 crores. Along with this, he also performed the Bhoomi-Poojan of various development works in Ward 39 and 40.

Will connect Aishbagh gate with Pul Bogda
Sarang informed that the people of the area will have direct contact with the main Jinsi-Chiklod road with the construction of an overbridge at Aishbagh gate at a cost of Rs.17 crore 37 lakh 53 thousand. The construction of this ROB will reduce the traffic pressure on Bogda Pul and Subhash ROB. Also, the people of Aishbagh area will neither have to wait at the gate nor will they have to go a long way around. With the completion of this ROB, about 2 lakh urban population will be benefitted every day.
Sarang informed that till now the citizens of the area have to travel through narrow lanes of colonies situated around Aishbagh due to closure of railway crossing number 250 of Aishbagh. Now they can get rid of it. He said that this ROB, which is going to be built near Aishbagh Stadium with a length of about 648 meters and width of 8.40 meters, will descend from Aishbagh gate towards Bogda Pul.

Reducing traffic pressure 
Minister Sarang said that Narela Assembly is situated near the railway line, due to which citizens had to first cross the railway crossing to commute here. Today Narela is the only assembly where there are 5 flyovers, which has facilitated the traffic system. He said that more than 6 lakh people are benefitting every day from Subhash Nagar flyover. Now grade separator will be constructed at Prabhat Square at a cost of 35 crores soon. This will be the sixth flyover of Narela.
