Scindia abandoned ideology for political future, will not get respect in BJP: Rahul


New Delhi,  Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that the former MP Jyotiraditya Scindia was worried about his political future, hence he abandoned his ideology and joined with the RSS-BJP.Mr Gandhi’s remarks came at the first time in public since Mr Scindia’s exit from Congress.Mr Scindia had joined BJP on Wednesday and the saffron party nominated him to Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh for the March 26 election.“This is a clear cut fight of ideologies. On one side there is Congress and BJP-RSS on the other. I know Jyotiraditya Scindia very well and his ideology, he was with me in college. He was worried about his political future, so abandoned his ideology and went with RSS," Mr Gandhi told reporters.

The former Congress president further said that the Madhya Pradesh leader will not get any respect within the BJP."He will not get any respect there in the BJP and he will not be satisfied, that is the reality. He will realize it. I know this because I have been friends with Mr Scindia for long. There are difference what is in his heart and what he is saying”, he added.Mr Gandhi, on Wednesday, had re-tweeted his old tweet in which he had tweeted photograph of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Mr Scindia along with a quote from Leo Tolstoy which said that “The two most powerful warriors are patience and time”. Mr Scindia’s jump into the BJP put Madhya Pradesh’s Congress government in a crisis that around 20 MLAs, who are loyal to Mr Scindia, had resigned.
