Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, To create awareness on the issue of child rights and to mark International Children’s Day, Madhya Pradesh Tourism undertook ‘Go Blue’ campaign. Under the campaign, exteriors of buildings of Madhya Pradesh tourism units in the State capital were illuminated with blue color lights for two days from November 19 to 20.
This was a step for child rights and advocate for it with blue color. World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on November 20 every year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare.
This is an important date as it is the date in 1959 when UN General Assembly adopted Declaration of the Rights of the Child.
MP Tourism got all its properties across the State capital including Minto Hall, Boat Club, Wind and waves, Hotel Palash residency lit with blue lights for this special occasion. On this occasion various cultural programmes and competitions were also organised.
