Two ministers ask Congress to clarify stand on UCC

Bhopal: A day earlier, after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's statement regarding formation of a committee in the state regarding Uniform Civil Code, two cabinet ministers of the state have asked the Congress to clarify its opinion in this regard.
Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said in his statement that the time has come to implement the Uniform Civil Code.
He said that India unites with the removal of Article 370, the introduction of CAA and the abolition of evil practices like triple talaq, and not by taking people like Swara Bhaskar and Kanhaiya Kumar along. Congress state unit president Kamal Nath should also clarify his opinion in the matter of Uniform Civil Code.
On the other hand, Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh said in his tweet that all citizens should welcome Chief Minister Shri Chouhan's announcement to form a committee on Uniform Civil Code. When there is one constitution, one Indian Penal Code in the country, then uniform civil code is also necessary for all the citizens. Congress should clarify its stand on this.
During the PESA awareness conference organized in Barwani district yesterday, Shri Chouhan had said that he is in favor of Uniform Civil Code and a committee is being formed for this in Madhya Pradesh.
